[EP] Son Of Tony (@SonOfTonyUSSR) - The Son and His Father Tape

Buffalo, NY – Artists like Son of Tony are hard to come by. Despite a life full of struggle, trials, and heartache, the artist’s ferocious passion for music and tenacious spirit make him truly one-of-a-kind. After a life full of ups and downs, up and coming artist Son of Tony set his mind to pursuing music in 2014. His love affair with music, however, started at a young age when he was pulled up on stage at a teen summit, where his performance was met with cheers and a standing ovation. Fueled by the energy and enthusiasm from the crowd, Son of Tony realized his dream. “It was surreal, the crowd cheering me on. It started the artist in me,” explains the rapper.

It didn’t come easy. A stint in prison led Son of Tony to reflect on his life, his choices, and his goals. He was determined to become better, and music has been the outlet for his uprising. His latest project, The Son and His Father Tape, is a tribute to the rapper’s late father, who was murdered the same day Son of Tony was released from prison. The 9-track EP is raw, unfiltered emotion, teeming with hard hitting experiences through the lens of Son of Tony’s vintage sound. “It’s nothing but the hardcore truth,” says Son of Tony of the album. Inspired by the classic rappers of the 90’s like Nas, 50 Cent, Ice Cube, and Wu-Tang Clan, his music pays homage to both the old school and new age vibe

Son of Tony has been through more trials in his life than most. His father was murdered, his mother endured cancer, he’s been robbed, shot, and sent to prison, and yet he’s come out of the experience with dignity and a story that simply needs to be told. “I’m more than my circumstances,” says Son of Tony. No matter who you are, or where you’ve been, Son of Tony’s music will speak to you in ways no other artist has before.
