[Video] Kenyatta Fire (@kenyattafire) - The Nearest Tide

Hailing from Kingston, Jamaica—this talented artist isn’t just a triple threat. He is a quadruple threat. Along with singing, he also produces and writes his own music. Once he’s finished producing his catchy beats, he then shoots his own music videos to accompany the song—and, yes, they’re pretty awesome. WASHINGTON, D.C.—2015 is shaping up to be a good year for Kenyatta Fire, whose real name is Daniel Terrlonge. Diligently working on his sophomore EP titled “Burden On Me, Crossroads” his latest single, “The Nearest Tide,” is already getting international attention. “I shot the video for it myself. In it I play a Jamaican astronaut. World Start Hip Hop picked it up and featured on their site and MTV caught wind of it,” he explained. “It’s an amazing feeling to be a Jamaican right now.” The music video, which was filmed, produced and edited by Kenyatta, has already been shared more than 2,000 times on Facebook and getting positive reviews on YouTube.
