She’s the only child I have.” Raised by a single parent in one of Chicago’s most dangerous projects, Crosby draws inspiration from his past to create clever rhymes fans have grown to love and appreciate. “I want my music to grab your attention,” stated Crosby. “I also try to get out as much as possible. When I’m secluded, writing songs can be a challenge. Exposure to the outside world helps me come up with my lyrics.”

I tell it how it is,” explained Torez. “So far, people are really responding well to the album’s first single because it’s real. It’s relatable. It’s definitely about my life. I’m not pleased with saying that I’m that guy and I’m not encouraging people to do the wrong thing—I’m just saying that this is my life. It’s my story for the time being.”
